Following its tradition of celebrating international events, tech giant Google on Tuesday commemorated Pakistan’s 71st Independence Day with a special doodle.
The reach of the doodle is only limited to Pakistan.
On this day, every year, Pakistan celebrates its freedom from the British colonial rule in 1947. The same day, the country also separated from India.
In its blog post, Google mentioned how Pakistanis celebrate the day. “Today many Pakistanis visit national monuments, such as the mausoleum of Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Mazar e Quaid in Karachi. Others mark the national holiday with a visit to family for a special meal and an exchange of blessings,” read the blog.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of Pakistan’s 71st Independence Day, India and Pakistan border guards exchanged sweets at Attari-Wagah border.
