Contemporary artist Tushar Joag passes away at 52

Tushar Joag, 52 died on Tuesday at his residence in Noida after a heart attack. He studied at J J School Of Arts, Mumbai and MS University, Baroda. He was an associate professor at Shiv Nadar University. Joag made his public interventions through art. He went for a bike journey for over 50 days from Mumbai to China, in 2005 and in his work Riding Rocinante from Bombay to Shanghai, he described the sufferings of the people who were displaced due to Sardar Sarovar Dam in MP, India and the Three Gorges Dam in Hubei Provine, China.
