Air India has started stocking food items from India, on International flights, for using it on the return journey. According to a report from Hindustan Times, Air India’s Chairman and Managing Director Pradeep Singh Kharola said the food is taken from India in chillers and can be heated, and the catering cost in India is 3-4 times cheaper as compared to the catering in Westen countries. He also said that Air India will soon start this service in return flights from the Gulf. Air India has started stocking food from India and using it on the return journey on flights to Stockholm, Copenhagen, Birmingham and Madrid.
