Bollywood director Rajkumar Hirani has been accused of sexual assault by a woman who worked with him during the movie Sanju. The woman alleged that Hirani sexually abused her in more than one occasion over a period of six months between March and September 2018. The woman raised the complaint first in an email to Sanju co-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra, his wife and film critic Anupama Chopra and scriptwriter Abhijat Joshi. Rajkumar Hirani has denied the allegations HuffPost India reported. Anupama Chopra confirmed that the woman had shared her account with her and she also said that Vinod Chopra Films (VCF) had since set up a committee to address sexual harassment. Abhijat Joshi also confirmed to HuffPost India that he was aware of the women’s complaint and said that he would support her.
