New Delhi:

The son of BSF Jawan, Tej Bahadur Yadav who made a viral video criticising the food that was served to security forces was found dead at their home in Haryana on January 18, 2019. The Jawan’s son, Rohit had allegedly shot himself with a gun.

”We received a call that Rohit has committed suicide. At the crime spot, we discovered that the room was locked from inside. The body was lying on the bed. There was a pistol in his hand,” a police officer was quoted as saying by the news agency ANI. The police also said that Tej Bahadur Yadav was at the Kumbh Mela and that they had informed him about it.

Tej Bahadur Yadav ’s viral video got him transferred from the LOC, where he was stationed at the time and led to his eventual dismissal from the service. His video and the ensuing controversy pressurised the defence ministry into ordering an investigation and the Prime Minister into asking for a report on the matter.
