Chennai:

AIADMK and its alliance partners have announced the list of candidates for the Lok Sabha polls 2019. The party had formed a pre-poll alliance with BJP, PMK and DMDK.

Ironically, AIADMK which had for long criticised the dynastic politics of DMK has reserved 4 of its 20 seats to the wards of party leaders. The most questioned is the candidature of Ravindranathkumar, son of O.Paneer Selvam from Theni constituency.

However, he denied the argument of dynastic politics and said that he had been working for the party for the past 21 years. “I am doing party work since I was 18. Now I am 39 years old. I have visited every town and village in Theni. I am keen on doing public service and the (AIADMK) coordinator (Panneerselvam) has said efficiency and loyalty to the party are key for a post,” he said.

Tamil Nadu is going for polls in the second phase on April 18th.
