Bhadohi (Uttar Pradesh):

An FIR was filed against BJP leader, Dinanath Bhaskar, who allegedly thrashed a polling officer of booth number 359 of Aurai assembly. Badohi went for polls in the sixth phase of General Elections.

“MLA and three others thrashed him alleging voting being held at a slow pace. An FIR has been registered and action is being taken,” the police said.

Badohi is witnessing a tough three-cornered competition. SP-BSP has fielded Rangnath Mishra, while BJP has fielded Ramesh Bind. Ramakanth Yadav is the Congress candidate.

The sixth phase of elections turned a bit violent, in which at least 26 people were injured and 16 vehicles were damaged.
