Delhi:

The president of Bharatiya Janata Party, Amit Shah was appointed as home minister in the new cabinet on Friday. Rajnath Singh who handled ministry of home affairs in the previous government will now be seen as defence minister. While Nirmala Sitharaman will be in charge of Finance. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar is the new minister of external affairs.

The new cabinet is as follows:
