Former United States President Barack Obama’s meeting with Steven Spielberg has given way to new speculations, that they might be collaborating for a new project. Both of them met at seafood eatery Marea. Earlier, Obama’s production company had announced a few films and shows in partnership with Netflix.
As per the reports in Page Six, “Spielberg walked through the front and no one noticed, while Obama arrived through a side entrance,” said the source. “They were with a group — with lots of Secret Service. But it was still pretty low-key with no disruptions to other diners,” added the source, reports Page Six.
‘Higher Ground Productions,’ the production house of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama have over 7 Netflix projects in the line. They would be seen producing an adaptation of Pulitzer Prize-winning book, ‘Frederick Douglass: Prophet of Freedom,’ written by David W. Blight. They will also be coming up with a series called ‘Bloom,’ which is based on the fashion world of New York.
“Issues of race and class, democracy and civil rights and much more,” will be major topics of his films, said Obama. On the other hand, Spielberg will also be seen producing films with American politician Hillary Clinton.
