Sachin Tendulkar filed a case against an Australian bat manufacturer for using his name and image for the promotion of their product without paying him. In his petition Tendulkar said, in 2006 Sydney based Spartan Sports International agreed to pay 1 million dollars to use his image, logo and promotional services to sell Sachin by Spartan sporting goods and clothing, Reuters reported.

As per the papers filed in Federal Court, Sachin claimed that he did promotional work for Spartan Sports International and participated in events in London and Mumbai. Tendulkar said he made a formal request for payment after the company stopped payment from September 2018. He also said that the company has not made the payment.

Then he cancelled the agreement and asked the company to stop using his name for promotion and selling of their product, but they continued to do so.
