The Supreme Court on Monday gave two more weeks for the Central Bureau of Investigation a time of two more weeks, to look into and complete the investigation of Unnao Car Crash.
The teenager’s two aunts, one of whom was a key witness in the case, were killed in the accident.
The court also asked the Uttar Pradesh government to pay Rs 5 lakh interim compensation to the lawyer, who was also injured in the crash, for his medical expenses.
Both the woman and the lawyer are in Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences and have been unconscious since the car crash.
The case was heard by a bench of Justices Deepak Gupta and Aniruddha Bose.
Sengar, the accused politician was on arrest since April 2018, however, was suspended from the party only on August 1.
