North East Festival is returning to the Capital with its 7th edition. It will be held between November 8-10 at IGNCA, Janpath, New Delhi.
This edition of North East Festival will try to raise awareness about the diversity and ethnic languages of the region.
There will be colourful dance forms, mask presentations, and dance dramas. As many as 40 food stalls will present diverse food items from northeast India, fashion shows with 20 designers will also showcase their collections at the event. There will be a rock music battle between Delhi’s colleges, rock bands of northeast and Delhi too.
“The North East Festival has been able to connect (people of northeast India) with Delhi and helped in bridging the gap. It has helped in giving a platform to northeastern people to showcase their talent to the people of Delhi. This year, the festival promises to be even bigger,” said Shyamkanu Mahanta, Founder and Chief Organiser of North East Festival.
