After its unprovoked violence in Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Milia Islamia, the latest reports coming out from JNU suggests that ABVP has unleashed a brutal attack on the campus, leaving many students injured.
Close to 50 ABVP members who wore masks barged into the hostels in JNU had beaten up students and faculties, in response to the on-going protests against the Citizenship amendment bill.

JNUSU president Aishee Ghosh, who was injured in the violence said that she was attacked by “goons wearing masks”.
“Sabarmati Hostel, Mahi Mandvi Hostel, Periyar Hostel are under attack. Those who are still outside, avoid these hostels and take alternative routes,” tweeted JNU students’ union

“I have been brutally attacked by goons wearing masks. I have been bleeding. I was brutally beaten up,” Aishee was quoted by news agency ANI as saying. Police have not taken any action so far.
“This is the last thing you expect. Delhi police are at the gate and under their protection, the assault is going on. This is a premeditated attack. I was told that it is in the presence of the SHO of the locality that the ABVP goons entered the campus,” said Yogendra Yadav.
As per reports, close to 50 masked people entered the campus, threw stones vandalising property and attacking students and teachers.

“Complete break-down of normalcy at JNU and open stone pelting, the beating of students with rods and lathis. JNU security and police acting as mute spectators and even inciting violence in the campus” tweeted Students group Pinjra Tod seeking help.
Condemning Delhi police activist and advocate Prashant Bhushan tweeted, ” Is the @DelhiPolice complicit in the violence unleashed at JNU by masked goons?”
Students are planning to gather at Delhi police headquarters later in the night demanding action against the perpetrators and the cops who stood and watched the violence.
